Our Commitment to your Health and Safety during COVID-19
Your safety and well-being is our top priority. The following steps are taken to ensure the safe delivery of eye care to you, your family and our community upon our re-opening:
- We will screen all clients for COVID-19 risk prior to entry in the clinic
- We will facilitate online history and consent forms to minimize contact points during your visit to our office. PLEASE go to our website www.esquimaltoptical.ca to complete the intake form prior to arriving for your appointment.
- Please be prepared for minimal talking and socialization during the exam.
- We will have a hand sanitization station upon entry to our office, and masks available for your use. If you have a properly fitted mask, please wear it to your appointment and keep it on during your time in the clinic.
- Patient flow into the office will be controlled and hence “walk-ins” may be asked to wait outside or in their car. Please arrive on time for your appointment.
- We have spaced out our appointment schedule to allow for proper physical distancing and sanitization
- Please arrive at your appointment alone unless you require a caregiver to be present
- Please leave jackets, purses, food and drinks, and other personal items in your car. Only bring in your glasses, sunglasses, and a list of medications.
- Please do your best to keep a distance of at least 2 metres (6.5 ft.) from others within the office
- We will be aware of common “touch points” within the clinic such as door knobs, chair arms, countertops, keyboards, credit card machines, pens… and will be sanitizing these touch-points frequently
- All instruments that patients will come in contact with will be thoroughly sanitized between each patient
We appreciate your efforts in keeping with these protocols. We realize that none of this is “normal”, but we are pleased to offer you safe, comprehensive eye care during this phase of the pandemic.
